A 45-year old Jill Hokins during 19 years delivered and gave to childless families 8 babies. However after the last delivery Jill decided to stop.
Hugging the eighth in a row baby, named Oliver, Jill acknowledged that the latest pregnancy was the most difficult for her, making her spend days and nights in bed, suffering from headaches and nausea.
- All the previous pregnancies were going very smoothly, - told the most prolific surrogate mother in Britain. – I was dismissed from the hospital already in two hours after the delivery and came back to my normal life.
Hokins, who will soon turn 46, acknowledged that her career of a surrogate mother had come to an end. Although Jill was making similar declarations after the other deliveries, changing her point of view from the nostalgia to pregnancy.
- As soon as I had given birth I wanted to become pregnant again but no. I won’t have children, - Jill announced. – Pregnancy was always filling my life with sense but now I will have to think what to do instead of bearing children.
During 19 years of her surrogate mother career Hokins was suffering from clinic depression and also she tried once to commit suicide, however she never regretted giving birth to eight babies.
It is not possible to get an official job of a surrogate mother but in Britain there exist a law according to which a woman bearing somebody else’s child must be paid no less than 20 thousand dollars for the “caused inconveniences”.
